This project builds on work previously undertaken with CEDAR to evaluate the LSC’s Dance and Drama Awards scheme. The current Review will examine and determine the need for and focus of the scheme, taking account of Government strategies and funding regimes for skills development in other sectors. The review is intended to lead to a set of evidence based propositions for future changes to the scheme. The project team will carry out an economic analysis of ‘value for money’, statistical analyses of outcomes from the scheme, qualitative analyses based on individual and group interviews, and detailed documentary analysis of inspection reports, review submissions and relevant school policies.
