EQF implementation: impact of national qualifications systems' processes

This project involves a consortium of 8 European organisations undertaking a study which will examine the effectiveness of the implementation of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), and in particular look at the relationships between the EQF and the processes of National Systems of Qualifications (or National Qualification Frameworks, NQFs) and their influences on the comparability of the sectoral qualifications in different countries. It will aim to increase the coherence between the EQF, NQFs and the processes of “traditional” systems of qualifications of the partner countries with their specific characteristics and diversity. It will also seek to identify limitations of the EQF and learning outcomes based qualifications frameworks and the problems of comparability of sectoral qualifications between countries.
