The Mutual Learning Programme was established by the European Commission to encourage mutual learning at all levels and enhance the transferability of the most effective policies within key areas of the European Employment Strategy (EES) as well as to promote the wider and more effective dissemination about the EES. The peer review process is designed to assess the implementation of concrete policy measures within the EES, and Bernard Casey undertook a peer review on “The Ageing Population and Educational Choices” as a theme within the context of the New Skills for New Jobs agenda. The peer review was hosted by the Finnish Ministry of Employment and the Economy and the Finnish Ministry of Education.
