Quality by units
This Leonardo da Vinci Transfer of Innovation project, led by Forschungsinstitut Betriebliche Bilding (f-bb) GmbH, demonstrated how (units of) learning outcomes could be used as an organisational principle in vocational education and training in order to facilitate mobility in the mechatronics sector across Europe.
IER was part of a consortium of 6 partners from the UK, Germany, Austria, Poland, France and Switzerland.
Products and methods were transferred from projects undertaken previously in Germany ("EDGE", part of the German DECVET initiative) and Austria ("VQTS") to France, UK and Poland. The project transferred good practice from these two ECVET projects to different VET systems in order to come to a common understanding on how mobility could work across the different contexts and thereby come to a better understanding of how ECVET could work in the mechatronics sector across Europe.
