Data analysis on women in the labour market

This project developed a website for the Fawcett Society which was designed to help
their researchers produce up-to-date analyses of the comparative position of
women and men in the UK labour market. The project derived a range of
indicators of employment, unemployment and labour market participation using ONS
(Office for National Statistics) time-series data and created a data base which
could be easily updated as new information becomes available. In addition, the
data series were illustrated using a range of graphs and commentary was written
to describe trends in different aspects of the labour market. The
website presents information on employment (by industry, occupation, region and
job status), unemployment and wages.
