Good jobs, better health, fairer futures evaluation partner

Health, Brighter Futures programme funded by the Health Foundation.

The programme is working at the intersection of the health and employment agendas, and includes a number of interventions primarily focused on employment and skill support, but designed to engender positive health outcomes.

The evaluation is assessing whether the programmes outcomes, goals and objectives have been achieved, including:

  • Whether relationships between Anchors, communities and other partners have been created and strengthened and what is the result of any improvement;
  • The impact of the economic activity made in communities, including whether any early health impact can be seen;
  • An understanding of an effective model of co-design with local communities is impacting good outcomes for economic interventions which improve health;
  • Whether people in some of the most disadvantaged communities in Leeds can connect to better jobs and careers through this approach;
  • What are the mechanisms for change: what has changed, for whom, and how; and,
  • Are there any unintended and unanticipated outcomes.

The study is a mixed method evaluation including interviews with programme managers, strategic and delivery partners and beneficiaries.
