Study on workers mobility - short term international assignments

The aim of this research project was to improve the knowledge base on existing practices and trends in short-term international assignments and to define common methodologies for data collection on short-term contracts. It involved the development of a typology of short-term international assignments/contracts (with reference to links with geographic mobility and job-to-job mobility) and compilation of statistical evidence (as far as is possible from available sources) about the numbers of EU workers engaged in these types of assignments/contracts. The final stage of the project was concerned with making suggestions about to how to improve recording of the number of mobile workers engaged in short-term international assignments/contracts.

The report is available here: Study on workers' mobility - short term international assignments.
