New EPR delivered!
We are please to announce the delivery and commissioning of a new EMX X-Band Spectrometer. reused/moved some of the existing equipment so we now effectively have two new setups a New EMX-Plus [Sally] system on the larger 8” magnets and our existing EMX-Micro [Jack] on the smaller 6” magnets. Both systems should have similar performances in terms of Signal for standard experiment, but the EMX-Plus [Sally] will be better for sample with long relaxation times has slightly greater functionality around triggered experiments.
If you have been using the EMX-Micro [Gordon] and wish to continue using the same experimental conditions you should now book EMX-Micro [Jack]. If you wish to use the EMX-Plus [Sally] you will need a quick tour of the new software (xenon), it looks very different but the basic principles are the same
514 nm Raman Laser moving
The 514.5 nm Laser has now been moved from the Renishaw InVia to the Horiba LabRam Spectrometer allowing users of the 514 nm laser to access the increased functionality of that system.
Cryogen Free cooling
We are delighted to announce the deliver of a Cold Edge Stinger cooling system. The new system will be able to provide temperature down to 4K on our Raman, Pl, EPR and Optical absorption spectrometers without using liquid helium.
