Jie joined the X-ray diffraction team as a Research Technical Professional in May 2023. She has extensive experience in the structural study of new compounds, including organic/inorganic, and co-crystal, the investigation of the relationship between physical properties and crystal structures, and selective crystallisation and phase transition of polymorphs.
Biography:
Postdoctoral Researcher at Laboratoire de Chimie des Polymères, Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Belgium, 2018-2023, working with Prof. Yves H. Geerts on exploring new polymorphs and polymorphic selection of organic molecules using multiple crystallisation methods (through melt/solution crystallisation and surface crystallisation methods such as spin-coating/dip coating), and investigation of thin films using multiple X-ray diffraction techniques (SCXRD, specular-XRD, XRR, GIXRD, and Pole Figures).
Research Technical Professional in State Key Laboratory of Crystal Materials, Shandong University (SDU), China, 2010-2018, managing the X-ray diffraction laboratory, including Powder and single-crystal diffractometers and investigating solid-state phase transition of crystals, and the relationships between crystal structures and physical properties.
PhD in Materials Science at the Institute of Crystal Materials, Shandong University, China, 2013-2017, supervised by Prof. Xutang Tao on the study of Polymorphism, Solid-State Phase Transition, and Properties of Crystalline Molecular Complexes.
