Create a collection of pages

An important element of a portfolio is the ability to draw together (and reuse) pages in multiple collections focusing on the important aspects of the current requirement (whether this is for a template, a job interview, submitting professional development evidence, an assignment etc).

Create a new collection

  1. Click on Create on the Dashboard, or open Pages and Collections from the Main menu.
  2. Click on the  Add button and select Collection from the pop-up. This will open the Edit collection window.
  3. Add a descriptive collection name and a detailed description of the collection - these will both appear on the collection as it is shown on the Portfolio page.
  4. Add tags to the collection to make searching easier (especially if you have a large number of pages and collections).
  5. Click Next: Edit collection pages to go to the next step, Add pages to the collection
  6. Select the pages to be added to the collection and either drag and drop them, or check the boxes, and click Add pages. Any existing pages already in the collection (if editing an existing collection), as well as new pages added, appear on the right.
  7. Select Done when pages have been added and the new collection will appear on the Pages and Collections page.

Edit an existing collection

  1. Click on Create on the Dashboard, or open Pages and Collections from the Main menu.
  2. The Pages and Collections section shows you your existing portfolios (i.e. collections and pages). Collections look like a stacked set of pages.
  3. Select the menu on a Collection will open up further options for managing, editing and deleting a collection.
  • Manage - This screen allows you to add pages that are not already in the Collection and to reorder or remove existing pages.
  • Edit - The edit section allows you to change the collection name and description that you set when creating it originally. You can also add or remove tags.
  • Delete - Selecting delete opens a warning message to confirm that you really want to delete this collection. It does not delete the individual pages and does not affect other collections that use some of the same pages. Select Yes to remove the collection or No to close the delete dialogue window and return to the pages and collections page.

Copy a collection

  1. Click on Create on the Dashboard, or open Pages and Collections from the Main menu.
  2. Click on the  Copy button and search for the collection to copy.

See Copy a page or collection for more information.
