Drag and Drop question
Drag and Drop questions are similar to Hotspot questions but allows up to 10 areas on an image to be selected. Participants place markers on the image to indicate their answers.
1. Adding Question Wording
- Click on "Click here to change the question wording" to enter your question.
- Use the text formatting toolbar to style the question as desired.
2. Saving Changes
- Save Options:
- Click Save to save changes and continue editing. A confirmation message will appear.
- Click the drop-down arrow next to Save for more options:
- Save and new Multiple Choice: Saves changes and starts a new Multiple Choice question.
- Hover over Save and new...: Choose another question type.
- Save and exit: Saves changes and exits the question editor.
- If changes were made, a revision comment is required before exiting.
3. Exiting the Editor
- Click Exit to leave the question editor. A warning will appear if there are unsaved changes.
Setting the Delivery Style
- Delivery Styles:
- Scored: Allows specific scoring and feedback values for answer choices.
- Unscored: Offers a simple layout for surveys without setting scores, but feedback can be added.
Adding a Background Image
- To change the placeholder image:
- Click Change background image.
- Click Browse to upload an image (JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG; max 20 MB).
- Select the image and click Open.
- Click OK to confirm or Cancel to abort.
- The new image will appear beneath the question wording.
Selecting Marker Images
- Marker Images: Up to 10 markers can be used; two are provided by default.
- To Add a Marker: Click Add marker in the toolbox.
- To Delete a Marker: Click the X next to the marker.
- Marker Image Selection:
- Click on a marker thumbnail.
- Select from available markers or upload a new one.
- Click OK or Cancel.
- Recommended Marker Dimensions:
- 24x24 pixels
- 36x36 pixels
- 48x48 pixels
Specifying Target Regions
- Target Regions: Areas that are marked as correct if selected by a participant (up to 10).
- To Specify a Target Region:
- Click Set region next to the desired marker.
- Choose a shape: Rectangle, Circle, or Polygon.
- Adjust size and position as needed.
- Click OK or Cancel.
- Browser Compatibility: Non-HTML5 browsers only support rectangular regions. If you edit an HTML5-created question in a non-HTML5 browser, it will default to a rectangle.
Scoring Answers
- Setting Scores:
- Enter a score for all correct responses in the Score textbox for All correct feedback.
- Enter a score for incorrect responses in the Score textbox for Incorrect feedback.
- Score per Marker: Enabling this option allows you to set scores for each correctly identified hot area.
Showing Feedback
- Provide feedback for correct or incorrect responses in designated text boxes.
- If using Score per marker, you can provide feedback for each marker in addition to overall feedback.
Adding a Comment Box
- To enable participant responses:
- Click Add comment box to add a comment field at the bottom of the question.
- Enter prompt text in the Add your comment field.
