Careers Fair guides are available ahead of the fairs with all of the information you need to get the most from your attendance.

Careers Workshops & webinars

Our programme of workshops and webinars covers a range of topics. From creating a CV to successfully preparing for an assessment centre – there’s something for everyone. Access recorded workshops on applications, interviews, CVs and LinkedIn at a time to suit you.

This talk will cover some of the applications of statistics within sports modelling. We will discuss the benefits to a bookmaker of having a model and the theory behind designing an appropriate one. We will then focus on pre-match football, starting with a simplistic Poisson regression model then see how additional complexity and changes to our assumptions can improve its performance
