Transcription Tuesday Data now available!

Some of you may remember Transcription Tuesday back in February when our compensation register for the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants (ASRS) was used as the source for an international online transcription event, hosted by Who Do You Think You Are? Magazine and the University of Portsmouth. The register contains nearly 120 pages and over 2,000 entries – all transcribed by a large army of volunteers in the space of a day!

The data has now been cleaned and added to the large and growing database which is part of the Railway Work, Life and Death project based at the University of Portsmouth.

A big Thank You to all the volunteers who helped to make the records available.
