Amalgamated Society of Printers' Warehousemen
The Amalgamated Society of Printers' Warehousemen was formed in 1893 by the amalgamation of the London Society of Warehousemen and the Caxton Printers' Warehousemen's Association. The Society only operated in London. In 1900 it amalgamated with the Printers' and Stationers' Warehousemen, Cutters and Assistants' Union to form the National Amalgamated Society of Printers' Warehousemen and Cutters.
The only source held for the Society is the volume of reports for 1894 to 1898 (MSS.39/SO/4/1/1a). These reports were quarterly until 1895, when they became half-yearly. All of the following information may be found in these reports.

The names and ages of new members are listed annually from 1897.
Members "erazed"

The deaths of members' wives are also recorded. Only name and employer (of the member, not his wife) are listed. From the second half of 1896, the month of death is also listed.
