Awards evenings, events and results - Catching up with Emma

Final year, 2+2 Degree Pathway student Emma has had an eventful year. From awards evenings, working events, to receiving the results for her degree – the mother of four caught up with the Centre to reflect on the final year of her studies.

A reflection on STOPSO's 2nd Annual Conference

Jackie Williams, Senior Teaching Fellow, Counselling and Psychotherapy recently attended STOPSO's 2nd Annual Conference, which had a number of keynote speakers, and lived experience contributors. STOPSO is a relatively new charity, which has quite a broad overview, for example in areas such as sexual offending.

Dr Anil Awesti explains Brexit and his on-going seminars: ' Analysing UK-EU Brexit Negotiations'

Brexit is the single biggest change in UK politics post-1945. Leaving the EU will affect every single aspect of UK public policy from agriculture and local development to foreign policy and international relations, and everything in between.


Two members of staff in CLL team are leading on the organisation of a Research Seminar Series at the Centre.

The seminars, which will take place every two weeks, are focused on providing a space for colleagues to present ideas, receive feedback, discuss, debate and generally facilitate a greater level of academic conversation across the department.
