Applied Health

Message from the Head of Division

Welcome to Warwick Applied Health, which promotes a culture where all staff and students flourish and achieve their full potential. We work across disciplines integrating psycho-social, organisational and bio-medical perspectives in our research and teaching.

Our research focus is on the design and evaluation of interventions (behavioural, medical, technological and organisational), plus how the application of knowledge in these areas changes clinical practice and ultimately health outcomes. Our research includes applied health services research, methodological development/application of health sciences, evidence synthesis as well as relevant theoretical enquiry.

We are actively engaged with teaching and training for medical students and postgraduate taught courses, and have a thriving higher degrees programme drawing on our research strengths, with particular focus on public health, primary/community care, mental health and global health.

Professor Amy Grove

Education

The Division is able to draw upon its high-calibre, multidisciplinary and internationally recognised leaders in health sciences research to deliver an outstanding student experience. We contribute to the MB ChB medicine programme, postgraduate research degrees, postgraduate taught degrees and the school's two undergraduate degrees. Projects currently available for postgraduate research students in the Division of Health Sciences can be found here.
