Apprenticeships with the benefit of hindsight
Warwick Institute for Employment Research (IER) has been commissioned by the Edge Foundation and the Gatsby Foundation. The study is researching how employers said they would respond to the apprenticeship reforms introduced in April 2017, and how they actually did react. The study will explore the reasons for any difference in their expected behaviour.
The study involves in-depth interviews with employers across a different sectors, as well as levy and non-levy payers.
Interviews with employers will also explore how they are coping with the current crisis and how this is impacting on their apprenticeship recruitment.
