Skills report for Sheffield City Region
IER was commissioned to produce a skills report for the Skills Advisory Network (SAN) of Sheffield City Region. This involved the analysis of a range of labour market information to provide insight and evaluation of:
- The strengths, weaknesses and priorities within local skills demand, supply and the intersection between the two;
- Skills progress over the past decade and how past strengths, weaknesses and priorities have been identified and addressed;
- Identifying current and future skills priorities and how they can contribute to local economic development (growth and productivity) through outlining workable interventions and the roles and responsibilities of local stakeholders.
The report included analysis of COVID-19 on the local labour market and skills system.
