Tell us about your career story since graduating from Warwick
After graduation I joined India’s leading consultancy company A F Ferguson (now part of Deloitte) for about 2 years. After that I joined Kotak Mahindra Investment Bank in the M&A team (India’s leading investment bank) for a period of 5 years. While expecting my second son I took a career break for a period of 1 year. Thereafter, I spent about 7.5 years with Deloitte Corporate Finance. At Deloitte my focus was on M&A, privatisations, and raising capital from VCs and Private equity funds for clients. To gain more flexibility in terms of work hours I decided to set up my own firm focusing on SME clients and actively managing my financial portfolio.

For India:
- Do an internship and gain understanding in areas that one is looking for employment.
- In companies you want to gain employment see if you can find someone who can give you a referral.
- In India companies recruit at specific times of the year at entry level (different from that of UK); ensure that you understand the Indian timelines and send in resumes accordingly.
