The Sheet Iron Workers' Society operated in Scotland and Northern England. It merged with the United Society of Boilermakers and Iron and Steel Shipbuilders in 1920.

The only genealogical source is a list of members transferring to the new union in the February 1920 monthly report of the United Society of Boilermakers and Iron and Steel Shipbuilders (MSS.192/BM/4/1/47). Name and branch are listed.
