The below course structure is indicative. Modules on offer change year on year, dependent on staff research interests and availability.

From 2022/23 academic year entry, this course will be subsumed into the BA Modern Languages.

Year One

Core Modules
  Modern French Language I (FR101-30)
  The Story of Modern France (FR121-30)
  Either Modern Italian Language I for Beginners (IT101-30) OR Modern Italian Language I Intermediate Level OR Modern Italian Language I Advanced Level (IT107-30)
  The History of Modern Italy (IT115-30)

Year Two/Three - Spent Abroad

  Modern French Language II (FR201-30)
 

Modern Italian Language II (IT201-30; if post-beginners) OR

Modern Italian Language lll (IT301-30; if post-A-Level or post-intermediate)

The Italian language coordinator will advise which module you need to take for Italian language depending on your level.
