On May 23rd, Dr David Owen presented a paper entitled "Trends in under- and over-employment" at the UK Data Service Labour Force and Annual Population Surveys User Conference 2024 in London.

This paper demonstrated how the LFS could be used to make estimates of under- and over-employment for individuals, and showed how this information could supplement other labour market indicators to demonstrate differentials in labour market inclusion and exclusion by sex, age, highest educational qualification and ethnic group and the differential incidence of over- and under-employment by occupation, industry and geographical region.
