Student Opportunity Helpdesk

The Careers team are here to support you throughout your time at Warwick, and after you graduate. We offer in-person and remote services, flexible to your needs and other commitments.

Due to staff shortages there may not always be a person available on the helpdesk; but please do still come along and our team will do their best to help you.

Get help from the careers team

There are a number of different types of help we can offer. Read the descriptions below to help you decide what you need.

Careers guidance or mock interview

Meet with a Senior Careers Consultant, in person or remotely via MS Teams, for an in depth discussion to help with your career planning and career choices. You can also book a careers guidance appointment if you would like our experts to provide a mock interview ahead of an upcoming interview.

Applications feedback and opportunity advice

Our team can provide you with help and feedback on applications, CVs, covering letters and personal statements, searching for jobs, interviews and work experience.

We offer different types of appointment for you to receive feedback:

Application and CV Drop In Sessions for Non-WBS Students

10am - 12noon & 1 - 3pm | Every Tuesday - Friday | Term Time | Student Opportunity Hub, Senate House

You do not need to book these sessions in advance but please arrive at the beginning of the start time of the session.

We can review application documents but we are limited to 15 minutes per student. Please have your documents ready for us to look at either printed or on a laptop. We are unable to review CVs or applications on mobile devices.

Please note: there will be no drop in session on the following dates:

You do not attend this appointment, it simply reserves time in an adviser’s calendar to provide you with feedback which will be done via consultation notes on myAdvantage Please note this may be uploaded anytime up to 1 working day past the end time of your appointment.

MS Teams: Applications Feedback and Opportunity Advice

At the allotted time of your appointment please sign into Microsoft Teams and the adviser will contact you, this will either be done through a meeting invite or a video call directly to you.

In Person: Applications Feedback and Opportunity Advice

These appointments are face to face and take place in Senate House in the Student Opportunity Hub unless otherwise specified. Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment is due and report to reception in the hub.
