The largest UK university careers fair in Shanghai – co-led by the University of Warwick – welcomed over 1,200 students and major global companies such as Apple, PayPal and Tesla today (2 April 2019).


First Social Work Degree Apprentices welcomed to Warwick

A trailblazing team of apprentices has arrived at the University of Warwick’s Centre for Lifelong Learning (CLL) to take their first steps towards gaining a degree in Social Work. The University of Warwick is one of the first UK universities to offer a Social Worker Degree Apprenticeship - a three-year, practice-based route into qualified social work that pays trainees a wage and combines learning on the job with high quality off-the-job study.


Warwick experts explore what economic policy should look like after Brexit

Opinion formers and policy experts welcomed Which way now? Economic policy after a decade of upheaval, a new report from the Centre for Competitive Advantage in the Global Economy (CAGE), launched last night [12] with a panel debate at the University of Warwick. The report presents 18 studies tackling the question of what a post-financial crisis, post-Brexit economic policy should look like, with the aim of presenting accessible recommendations informed by robust, up-to-date research.


Warwick research helps point the way to better quality work

Measuring Good Work, a report launched today by the RSA and the Carnegie UK Trust recommends that seven dimensions of job quality should be monitored annually by the government.

Prof. Warhurst, Director of Warwick University’s Institute for Employment Research (IER) was a member of the Measuring Job Quality Working Group and played a key role in developing a suite of measurements which would help the Government meet its aspiration that all work should be ‘good work,’ in quality as much as quantity.

Degrees of Advantage: A new longer-term investigation of the careers of UK graduates

The University of Warwick has been awarded funding for an 18-month project to extend its research into the experiences of graduates in the UK labour market. With funding from the Nuffield Foundation, Warwick’s Institute of Employment Research will revisit its unique Futuretrack study with a fifth survey wave, investigating the employment situations of students almost ten years after their graduation.
