Neural roots/origins of alcoholism identified by British and Chinese researchers

The physical origin of alcohol addiction has been located in a network of the human brain that regulates our response to danger, according to a team of British and Chinese researchers, co-led by the University of Warwick, the University of Cambridge, and Fudan University in Shanghai.

World class AI-research to be done by Warwick academics

Three academics at the University of Warwick have been awarded Turing AI Acceleration Fellowships, in which they will develop novel AI techniques, which could have wide-ranging impact, for example through developing digital twins that can aid us in modelling and understanding air pollution and teaching robots how to collaborate amongst themselves and the world.

Warwick Racing team develop second electric race car during lockdown

The Warwick racing team usually spend their summer in the workshop building an electric race car, but lockdown this year due to the covid-19 pandemic didn't stop them from designing and virtually validating a second electric car, WRe2, and racing their original car WRe1 virtually.
