Awards and Ceremonies

The Awards & Ceremonies team assist graduands in ensuring their "big day" is a memorable one, as well as helping alumni with queries relating to replacement certificates and authorised certificate copies.

The University holds 22 Graduation ceremonies annually; 14 in July and 8 in January.

The July 2021 degree ceremonies have been postponed. See our coronavirus updates for more information.

In light of ongoing uncertainty relating to coronavirus, the University has chosen to postpone in-person graduation ceremonies until 2022. Although this was a difficult decision to make, ultimately the safety of the Warwick community had to take priority. It’s a decision that has been taken in-line with our approach towards other large-scale on-campus events.

Therefore, as we await a clearer picture on restrictions on public gatherings, social distancing and travel, celebrations of this year’s graduating cohort will be held virtually. Students will still graduate in July 2021, providing the requirements of the award are met. However, this will be in absentia, with degree certificates issued by post.

Providing it is safe to do so, all graduates of 2020 and 2021 will be invited back to campus in summer 2022 for a celebratory event. Friends and family will also be welcome to attend. We will inform all eligible students, graduands and graduates of our graduation event plans for 2022 in due course and update these pages.

You can also keep up-to-date with the University’s response to coronavirus and for further information and future updates on graduation, please see our graduation coronavirus updates.

  • Award certificates (when should I expect to receive my certificate, how do I order a replacement certificate or obtain authorised certificate copies)
