Awards and Ceremonies

The Awards & Ceremonies team assist graduands in ensuring their "big day" is a memorable one, as well as helping alumni with queries relating to replacement certificates and authorised certificate copies.

The University holds 22 Graduation ceremonies annually; 14 in July and 8 in January.

In 2022, we will also be holding a graduation celebration for students who missed their ceremonies as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. See our coronavirus updates for more information.

With the recent significant increase in Covid-19 cases in the UK, and the Government’s guidance on how we should mitigate the risk of further spread, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone our January 2022 degree ceremonies. We apologise for the frustration and disruption this may cause graduands and their families. We believe this is the best course of action to keep our community safe and to give graduands the chance to celebrate their achievements properly, when the time comes.

We are making plans to arrange celebrations in the summer for all graduates who have been unable to attend ceremonies due to the pandemic. We will be in touch in the new year with arrangements for all cohorts.

You can also keep up-to-date with the University’s response to coronavirus and for further information and future updates on graduation, please see our graduation coronavirus updates.

  • Award certificates (when should I expect to receive my certificate, how do I order a replacement certificate or obtain authorised certificate copies)
