Music
The music industry covers areas such as live music, recording, songwriting, composing, production, artist management, marketing and PR, music education, journalism and radio. You could work as a performer, but you could also work behind the scenes in creative, technical, business or audience-facing roles.
Careers in music are often varied and portfolio careers are common, which means you may combine several types of work at the same time. For example, you might combine performing with teaching, freelance project work or something completely outside of music. You may work on live events, recordings, releases, artist development, education projects or studio-based work depending on your interests and skills.
