UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) has published its new Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF) data, which rates the impact UK universities have on their communities, regional and local business, and society more broadly. The University of Warwick scored highly in a number of the ratings categories.

Minerva Business Angels help tech start-up Tended secure a million-pound investment deal

Minerva, the business angel network which is part of University of Warwick Science Park, has played a vital role in helping Lincoln-based tech start-up Tended access the funds and know-how needed to take its intelligent safety solutions to the next level. Tended secured a total of £935,000 through Minerva Business Angels, including a single investment of £810,000 from Blackfinch Ventures. They went on to secure a further £221,000 from innovate UK, taking the total raised to £1.15m.

Minerva Birmingham, a new collaboration between Aston University, University of Birmingham and Minerva Business Angels, part of the University of Warwick Science Park, held its inaugural pitching event at Aston University on 9 April.
