For our degree ceremonies we offer a FREE Kids Club and Crèche for children from 3 months to 12 years of age, staffed by the University's Ofsted 'Outstanding' rated Nursery staff. This free service is beneficial both for the child's entertainment and your convenience. Young children often become restless during the ceremony and so this is a great alternative for them on the day.

Please note that children aged 2 years old or above are not permitted to sit on the lap of a guest in the Butterworth Hall and will need their own ticket. If they are not included as one of your guaranteed two guests, you will need to book them into the Kids Club/Crèche or make alternative arrangements for them on the day.

Booking a Place

Due to space restrictions, places are limited and booking in advance is essential. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and can only be confirmed upon receipt of the completed form(s) by the Kids Club/Crèche provider. You will receive confirmation of your booking within two weeks of completing the form.

Please ensure that you supply an email address for confirmation of your booking, and also note that a separate form should be completed for each child. You will receive an email acknowledgement, which does not guarantee you a place. This will be followed by a confirmation of your booking within two weeks of your application.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Kids Club/Crèche can only provide cover during the following session times. Please ensure that you arrive in time to drop off your child(ren) and ensure that they are collected promptly by the times indicated below:
