The Alternative Stage

Alternative Stage icon

The Alternative stage brings to life a whole host of career opportunities for students focusing on wider sectors including the Charitable and Not-for-profit sector, Health and Social Care, Education, Sustainability, Environment, Government and the Public Sector.

The stage will host a variety of virtual events in the Spring term and will be packed full of resources and Careers stories that will enable students to learn about opportunities available and whats on offer in these wider sectors.

Virtual Skills workshops, employer presentations and webinars as well as employer drop in sessions will all be available to employers wishing to contribute, raise their profile and present opportunities to students seeking to explore career options within these areas. The Alternative stage will also host the following virtual events - please contact us via email at employerconnect at warwick dot ac dot uk if you would like to be involved.

There is no charge to access the Alternative Stage.

International Development

25 January, evening

Returning to our programme for 2022, the International Development virtual event aims to attract a diverse range of students who are looking to understand more about a career within the International Development sector.

We welcome interest from a broad range of speakers, in particular those working in Consultancy, for Charities and NGO's, and those in sustainability.

There is no charge to attend this student facing event where employers may highlight opportunities available, raise your profile and impart valuable sector knowledge to an engaged virtual audience, keen to develop a career within the International development sector.

We also welcome back alumni of the University working within the sector who wish to share their knowledge and insight to help our current students as they begin their career journey.

Law & Social Justice sector event

22 February, evening

Our Law & Social Justice virtual event aims to attract a diverse range of students who are looking to understand more about a career within the legal sector.

We welcome interest from a broad range of speakers, in particular those working in immigration and family law, or those who now work in the sector but come from a non-law academic background.

There is no charge to attend this well-established student facing event where employers may highlight opportunities available, raise your profile and impart valuable sector knowledge to an engaged virtual audience, keen to develop a career within the legal sector.

We also welcome back alumni of the University working within the sector who wish to share their knowledge and insight to help our current students as they begin their career journey.

Making a difference

Our Making a Difference virtual event aims to attract a diverse range of students who are looking for a career with social impact.

We welcome interest from a broad range of speakers including those working in the NHS, social research and the third/charity sector.

This event is open to employers within the field on both a local, national and international stage, professional bodies and individuals wishing to impart knowledge and expertise.

We also welcome back alumni of the University working within the sector who wish to share their knowledge and insight to help our current students as they begin their career journey.

Your Career and COVID - building skills during the pandemic

The Your Career and COVID – building skills during the pandemic virtual event aims to attract a diverse range of students who are looking to increase their skills base following the global pandemic.

We welcome interest from a broad range of speakers including those working on the frontline, in crisis management and third/charity sector.

This event is open to employers within the field on both a local, national and international stage, professional bodies and individuals wishing to impart knowledge and expertise.

We also welcome back alumni of the University working within the sector who wish to share their knowledge and insight to help our current students as they begin their career journey.
