This virtual speaker event considers the broad range of careers options where students can participate in a role where they can ‘help people’. These careers can be helping people on an individual basis or contributing to helping society more widely. Careers helping people come in all shapes and sizes it can be hands-on in a healthcare role, think ways around problems as a social worker or lawyer, or create broader benefits for society in a careers such as science or engineering. Some particular sectors of interest for this event might be:

• Education (both teaching and roles outside of the classroom including educational policy)
• Psychology
• Social Work
• Public services
• Not-for-profit work in the legal and STEM sectors
