New to our programme, the Social Media & Blogging virtual event aims to attract a diverse range of students who are looking to understand more about a career within the social media sector.

We welcome interest from a broad range of speakers, in particular those working in content writing, data analytics or design & marketing.

There is no charge to attend this debut event where employers may highlight opportunities available, raise your profile and impart valuable sector knowledge to an engaged virtual audience, keen to develop a career within the social media sector.

We also welcome back alumni of the University working within the social media field who wish to share their knowledge and insight to help our current students as they begin their career journey.

Careers in Writing

1 February, evening

Our Discovering Careers in Writing event will allow students to engage with national and local organisations, individuals as well as Warwick alumni. This may include Journalism, publishing and editorial careers, copywriting and technical writing to name just a few!

Those attending may be seeking to promote opportunities available to students, highlight ways in which to secure work experience and internships and develop a strong network, or may simply wish to enhance our students’ knowledge and understanding of the sector. The event will provide an excellent platform to raise your profile as an organisation operating within this field, or share your knowledge and expertise for the benefit of our students.

This is an online virtual speaker event with a panel of speakers and networking and Q & A session afterwards. The event creates a strong, lively networking opportunity for all involved and is a popular event in the calendar attracting high student attendance.

Linked Events

Employers attending our Creative stage events or wishing to connect with our students interested in career in the sector may also wish to deliver employer presentations, skills sessions or Cafe Sessions within this week to support engagement and raise your profile to the highest level.

Diversity initiatives

We particularly welcome contributions from employers and supporting bodies looking to diversify your workforce.

Existing schemes you may wish to support include SPRINT - our female development programme and Warwick Advance - professional development for Widening Participation students. We welcome your support and contributions to these programmes and will also be happy to work with you to deliver your own initiatives in this area.
