Doctoral Access Scholarships - Sanctuary

We are offering a limited number of fully funded scholarships for postgraduate research students. These scholarships are offered as part of the Warwick Sanctuary Scholarships at the University of Warwick.

Eligibility: Please see webpage for full eligibility criteria. Unconditional Offer Holders for 24/25 entry and first year PGR's with any fee status in any research area with the one of the following immigration statuses granted by the UK government: refugee, asylum seeker, or humanitarian protection status. Computer Science - 2 x PhD Scholarships in Interdisciplinary Research

Two PhD scholarships are available in the interdisciplinary research programme led by Professor Yulia Timofeeva (Department of Computer Science, Warwick) and Professor Kirill Volynski (UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology, London). Successful candidates will join the PhD programme in Computer Science at Warwick, engaging in close collaboration with the Faculty of Brain Sciences at UCL.

Eligility: Home fee paying students. Successful candidates should have a background in applied mathematics/theoretical physics/computer science or related discipline, alongside strong computational skills.

Centre for Lifelong Learning (CLL) PhD Scholarship Programme

We are offering up to two PhD scholarships (fees only) for applicants looking to start their studies in October 2024.Our focus for this application cycle is: people-focused professions and inclusion. Applicants must have submitted an application to study on the CLL PhD programme before applying for this scholarship.

Contributing to the development needs of Commonwealth countries by supporting research that will have a developmental impact. Enhancing individual teaching and research capacity leading to increase institutional capacity in academic and other sectors in Commonwealth countries, and contributing to UK higher education and research by attracting high-calibre international candidates and encouraging links and collaboration.

Eligibility: PGR applicants from least developed countries and fragile States in the Commonwealth, for full-time doctoral study who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK

The Wheeler History of Travel Writing PhD Scholarships

As part of the newly established Wheeler History of Travel Writing Programme, the Department of History, through its Global History and Cultures Centre, is inviting applications for up to two PhD studentships for 2024/2025 entry in the History of Travel and Travel Writing.

Eligibility: UK/Home and Overseas fee status. Applicants must apply to Warwick for a History MPhil/PhD to begin in Autumn 2024 (there is no separate application process for the Wheeler studentships but candidates should indicate on their application that they wish to be considered for it).

Value: Awards made for entry in Autumn 2024 will include the following:

Politics and International Studies PhD Scholarships

Department of Politics and International Studies - PhD Scholarships

The Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Warwick is pleased to announce a competition for PhD scholarships. These department funded scholarships are aimed at any candidate starting their PhD in PAIS in October 2024, or any current PAIS PhD candidate in their first year of study. Because women are underrepresented in this field, one departmental scholarship will be reserved for a female candidate.

Eligibility: UK/Home, EU and Overseas fee status. Applicants must apply to a PAIS PhD programme at Warwick for entry in Autumn 2024. Current PAIS PhD students in their first year of study are eligible to apply.

Value: There are varying types of scholarship award offered. Some include the payment of full academic fees and a maintenance grant in line with the UKRI standard stipend for up to 3.5 years, others are for academic fees only.

Four PhD Fellowships in Psychology

We are delighted to announce that up to four Departmental PhD Fellowships will be available for students wishing to start a PhD in October 2024. Two of these fellowships are specifically for projects supervised by Dr Mikhail Spektor and Dr Sabrina Twilhaar.
