The MSc Advanced Critical Care Practice (ACCP) provides nurses, paramedics and allied health professionals who wish to extend their scope of clinical practice towards autonomous practice in the speciality of critical care in the pre-hospital or in-hospital setting, a structured education program.
Advanced Critical Care Practitioner roles have been developed as part of a larger NHS national workforce strategy. (NHS, Long Term Plan, 2019). The course is based on the National Curriculum and Syllabus for ACCPs published by the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine.

Drama is a practical subject, an active subject and a social subject. It engages the emotions as well as the intellect. It is a way of creating and interpreting meaning through imagined actions and language. Drama is lots of different things. These are just a few and as a drama teacher you are in a position to create and explore what drama is and what drama means, how drama can enrich the world we live in and help create meaning.
The course at Warwick is very well established. You will be taught by a Drama educator with more than 25 years’ experience working in 11-16 schools, 11-18 schools and 6th form colleges. You will take part in a series of subject specific interactive workshops that will challenge you to integrate theoretical foundations with practical applications. Workshops will include an introduction to teaching Shakespeare in the classroom, devising skills at KS3 and 4, developing literacy in the drama classroom.

The aim of the English PGCE course is to help you find your emerging English teacher identity and to develop a love of teaching English. Our mission is that, when you join your English department, you in turn inspire a love of English in your learners. All the subject sessions are taught in person (whether online or face-to-face) and you will have the opportunity to build a community of practice with other English trainees on the course.
The course is taught by highly knowledgeable and experienced English tutors who will support you as you develop your teaching philosophy and classroom pedagogy as well as supporting you with your academic assignments and subject knowledge development. Both tutors on the course have been English teachers in busy English departments, so fully understand the demands and rewards of being an English teacher.
During the course you will explore how to teach the fundamentals of English as well as looking at familiar and unfamiliar aspects of the subject. The course begins with a focus on reading, writing and spoken language and moves on to looking at diversity in the curriculum, critical literacy, literary frameworks, and creativity among other topics. All the sessions are underpinned by reference to seminal and recent research. You will explore not only what works in the classroom, but also why. Central to the MFL curriculum are the Warwick Teacher Values (WTV): creativity, intellectual curiosity & social justice. Sessions also include opportunities for trainees to reflect on their individual development both in university and on placement. MFL sessions throughout the academic year aim to develop subject knowledge, introduce pedagogies, promote pupil progress and support trainees with both their academic assignments and classroom practice.
