Getting started with Universal Capture (Personal)

This guide details how to request an Echo360 account, how to install Universal Capture (Personal) on your computer and how to use it to make recordings.

You do not need to complete the Lecture Capture consent form before using Universal Capture (Personal). Note:

  • Creating recordings using this method implies consent and you retain full control over which items are published from your personal library on Echo360.
  • By using this, you are not consenting to the in-room automated Lecture Capture Service.

To stop using UC(P), uninstall the software and email lecturecapture at warwick dot ac dot uk to request permanent deletion of any recordings that are no longer required. Recordings cannot be restored once deleted.

Three steps to start recording

  3. Set your Echo360 password. If you will be using Universal Capture, then you will need to create a password Link opens in a new window by following these instructions.
